Thomas was ALone was arguably my favorite session playing with blocks, and now I can bring that virtual experience into the real world with these figures offering the "full articulation possible for toys based on the reasonably popular indie game". Claire floats. No really. That's amazing. If only John's ego could be sculpted into the figure . . . or is it?
Unfortunately, these are sold out, but were £20.00. Perhaps another set could be made? Please?
Takara Tomy has released images of this new set of gashapon keychain figures from Splatoon. Coming very soon to Japan, and most likely never to other regions . . .
It's not just games out there. There's more and more merch on the floor every year, and it's not just swag giveaways.
Hit the jump to see what I saw!
First, sorry for the delay in this post. It was a big year for smaller swag and shirts. Almost every demo had you walking away with a shirt, and I have not gathered all of the photos of them here. If you liked a game, chances are there is a shirt for it. There wasn't any merch for Last Guardian though, before we move on. Bleh. Big year for Nintendo and Xbox merch. Sony was a bit lacking. Hit the jump to see the merch!
Let's hope there's not one for each villager.
Set to be released in September in gashapon capsules in Japan. But you can preorder a full set from NCSX.
When you think of the Bradford Exchange, video game memorabilia isn't the first thing that comes to mind. Usually it's collector plates or ornaments. Well, they found some time to branch out and create a Pac-Man grandfather clock. This collectible clocks in at almost 2 feet tall. Don't be alarmed, but the price comes to close to $200, but they have a payment plan also. Limited to 295 crafting days, so order one before time runs out.
Apart of me always squees when Nintendo makes playing cards. Back to their roots. With this set, Mario Maker is the theme, and each type of SMB is a suit in the deck.

Hearts: Super Mario Bros. 3
Clubs: Super Mario World
Diamonds: New Super Mario Bros. U
There are two more sets as well. Classic art and Modern. Hit the break to see those!
Taito is adding a red and green Koopa shell to their "Tojudai" series of over-sized plushes. Marios and Yoshis were in previous sets. The shells are nearly 17" long! These will release in late October in Japan.
Ensky has created a lovely little Kirby wind chime, available for pre-order at AmiAmi for 1130yen. Being so cheap might lead you to believe the wind chime isn't worth it,but the materials state that it's made of ceramic, paper, and polyester. According to the other pic at AmiAmi, the big Kirby will be ceramic. Coming in mid-July.

Splatoon is a hit! These promo hats are popping up on ebay, and it appears that they were given out at the Nintendo World Store in New York for the launch event. If anyone knows of anywhere else they were given out, like at the Nintendo World Championships this weekend, let me know. However, the NWC2015 does not appear to have much, if any, merch.
Bushwick2002 has informed me that certain Gamestops got these as promos, along with some employees as gifts. Thanks for letting me know!
$80 will net you this official luxury bathrobe. Comes in medium or large, and Merchoid will pay for shipping anywhere in the world. Wow. "If you’re under 5’8″ go for size M. If you’re 5’9″ or above, go for size L". Sound advice.
A while back, we started a thread to ask the toy companies we like to buy from our questions. The following questions were those our members compiled, along with several more. K'NEX has responded first, so let's take a look! Hit "Read More" to see the interview!
A Captain Toad Lamp, where Toad's headlamp lights up, has been spotted on a Club Nintendo announcement regarding them working on a new Club Nintendo. The other items on the flyer (after the break) have been seen. No other real details, but I'll update as we learn more.
Buy the game, get a squirt gun. Not just any gun, but a Splatoon gun. Not just any Splatoon-branded gun, either. It's modeled after the in-game gun! Sweet!
