And the winner of Best Merch of the Show for E3 2012 goes to ...
Hit the jump for the winner . . .
Oswald's Ostown Hats Rabbit Ears! It certainly had the longest line at the show, ranging from two hours to almost four. To have such a rare piece of Disneyanna at the show, and to see Disney showing love to their recent re-acquisition of the Lucky Rabbit, was really something special. Keep in mind this isn't just video game memorabilia. While the patch on the hat has Epic Mickey 2, many Disney collectors will be clamoring for such a rare item. To display it next to the iconic Disneyland Mickey ears would really be great for any level of collector. With Wreck-it-Ralph shirts and cards, Where's My Water? plushes, and other goods, the Disney booth was certainly the best booth to get swag this year.
Runner-up #1 - The Nintendo set of five pins.
These were tough to get and very high-quality. With rubber stoppers covering each pin, a strong vinyl card back, and brushed metal and enamel pins, Nintendo had a real winner on its hands.
Runner-up #2 - The Chrome Spyro Skylanders figure.
To have such a rare figure presented in an already very hard-to-complete collection will make several envious to pay the outrageous prices they're appearing for.
Honorable mentions - The World of Warplanes aviator glasses and the Neverwinter beer mug were both great as well. I wish the Neverwinter mug had a better design than just the logo in black, but it is great to score a free beer mug.
You can see both here.
